Bride's Side - The Gadanis
Mother - Kanak
A petite woman who is fiery, determined and independent. A dedicated wife, mother and a teacher by profession. She was the one who had the courage to bring her family to United States to built a new life and opportunities for her children while leaving the comforts of Kenya.
Father - Prakash
Tall, handsome and charming. He is a talker and will be able to converse with you on any topic. He is an engineer and started his own business since he liked being his own boss. His hobby is to tinker with electronic toys gone bad like TVs and VCRs.
Brother - Rakesh
Eldest of 3 siblings. Studied to be a Financial Analyst here in Elmurst, IL. Carrys the family tradition of being a talker. He loves to debate on any given topic except Bollywood movies.
Sister - Jignasa
Second in line but best from the lot. She is the kindest and lovelist person one would ever meet. Beautiful, smart, talented , a world traveler and always on the Go! She studied Law here in Chicago, worked for the state government and then moved on to work for the Federal government in Washington D.C.
Groom's Side - The Upadhyays
Mother - Asha
Anil's mom has always worked with children in some capacity. She spent several years teaching after school Hindi classes in Toronto. Now after getting her degree in Early Childhood Education she works as a day care teacher.
Father - Madhav
Anil's dad was the first and still only in our entire extended family to have come and stay in North America back in the 1960s. He is currently semi-retired but stays busy by working hard in the Indian community in Toronto.
Brother - Ravi
Ravi is ten years Anil's younger but that doesn't make him his little brother. This lanky 6'3" punk is attending University of Waterloo to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Computer Science.
